To cultivate the gift of creativity; stimulate, impact and spark curiosity to the viewer, thru my artistic expression.
– Dustine Kinsella
Artist Bio
Dustine lives in central Alberta and is a good example of its never too late to embark on something new. Her artistic journey began later in life with a simple desire to draw. She is a self-taught artist, and primarily works with acrylic mediums. Dustine enjoys experimenting, in her craft and finds fulfillment in creating her art with new ideas, concepts and techniques. Her original artwork has been on exhibit in local art shows, summer art walks and illustrated children’s book. The majority of Dustine’s artwork is that of drawing out and bringing forward to life, the images that present themselves as a theme from the multiple techniques she executes in the preparation of her canvas prior to painting.
Artist Statement
My creative journey began with a simple desire to draw. This desire has turned to passion and spurs me on to create by exploring and experimenting in the visual arts. When expressions of life capture my attention, whether the inner things of the heart, or external visuals such as colours, textures and shapes, and design, my passion to create is ignited. My artistic expression is where I find joy, overcoming, and satisfaction. I have great anticipation that what I experience could transpire thru my art to the viewer, an encounter with hope, joy or peace, or maybe an igniting of a dream.
