In exploring my indigenous heritage thru art. I came to find out that the feather signifies the connection between the Creator and the owner of the feather, as well the bird from which it came.
The feather symbolizes high honor, power, wisdom, trust, strength, and freedom. In this painting, the eagle feather represents strength, courage and hope.
The owl feather represents wisdom. The mega speaker the owl is resting on signifies the heard voice of the indigenous people. The sweet grass in the middle, top right, represents a ceremonial plant used to symbolize healing, peace and spirituality.
